GDPR COMPLIANT TIME LAPSE

Construction site webcam and time lapse in compliance with data protection:

We assume full responsibility – as relates to data protection – for you concerning everything from posting the GDPR sign for video surveillance to the automated recognition and pixelation of persons and vehicles.

Since 25/05/2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation has been in effect and in order to comply with it, we have invested one year of development time in an algorithm that automatically detects personal data (faces and license plates) and pixelates them to make them unrecognisable. At the same time, we have the possibility to make entire areas unrecognisable by means of a mask.

Should you have any questions about this, please contact::

Automatic pixelation of persons/faces & vehicles/license plates:

Before the project start, our data protection council (composed of data protection officers certified by the TÜV-Süd [Technical Control Board South], IT experts and the management) reviews each project for whether personal data are potentially gathered in it and classifies each project accordingly.

We prepare custom masks for residential buildings or break areas, discretely masking the individual picture areas and making them permanently unrecognisable.

Directly after their creation, our high-resolution individual pictures are analysed for identifiable vehicles and persons, and then pixellated by means of our algorithm. In this process, we place great value on an aesthetic overall impression!

Data protection example pictures:

Here are some of our pixellated pictures as examples for you to show to your data protection officer (DPO) or works council. We will also be happy to come visit you for a presentation without commitment on the issue of webcams/time laps in compliance with data protection. If you need the example pictures for an initial presentation, you can
